Updated D3 Wish List

[:1]I no particular order:

*Pick up all item button:

Customizable to "see" only a certain quality of item.

Since we all get our own drops, this would be simple to implement. I played HG:London and really like the feature. In order for the system to "see" what item quality you want, it is easy enough to implement a drop down menu with a series of radio buttons with a description of the quality gradient of item one wishes to either include or exclude in the "pick up all" button.

A version of this was implemented in Titan Quest, where one could choose what quality of item that was NOT shown on screen when using the "show all" button. It worked well but I still found the repetitious precision clicking to be annoying.

*Break down junk items for crafting materials:

Another feature found in HG:London. This feature has become common place amongst other online RPGs. Even Guild Wars has it. The failure rate to obtain usable materials from an item can increase with the rarity of the item being broken down.

*Shared stash with crafting materials slots:

Nuff said.

*Ability to "e-mail" items to other players for instant trading:

No more "meet me in game x at y time for z item" and that player not showing. This also allows a record to be kept for all trades done this way and would help cut down on scammers abusing the forums, as a screen shot of the inbox could be supplied to prove that a scam took place.

*Party member avatar opacity setting:

This is something my wife thought of. She loves to play D2 but found the one annoying thing for her was "losing" tracking of which char was hers. She was so used to playing on her own and at higher levels, many char avatars look almost identical with almost everyone using basically the same gear. Nothing sucks more than to have a char die because you were looking at the wrong one the whole time and unaware that your char was under attack and in need of potion assist. Her way of eliminating this is to have a display option to make all other party members appear to be drastically different then her own in dungeons. She thought it would be nice to be able to "fade" party member's avatars so they were only ghostly forms, that way you can still see them but it would make it much easier to pick your opaque char out of the bunch.

With all the "chaos" of battle that is to be seen in the game play vids this feature may be needed more than ever.

*High Ground Advantage:

This is pretty elementary and now that D3 has such a huge graphical update and along with it a huge change to the types of environments we are likely to find our chars exploring. One such change is "high ground" being attainable due to the new environments haven't multiple levels. Even in the very first demo vid on the official site one can see the clear advantage a character would have at the top of a ladder or flight of stairs. Having at least a large +critical hit boost from firing at the top of stairs, ramps or ladders would be nice and realistic.|||Mmm first of will be the ability to play off line for single player and skirmish.

Secondly, if they can turn their mind around, to have LAN support.

Thirdly .. to support modded game and custom game.|||Bring the necro back?!||| Pick up all item button.

Party member avatar opacity setting (obvious needed).

All these !

G.R.D. (can't lurk anymore, these are all good. Especially Bashiok !)|||A secret rainbow level. Hm....that just might work. In any event, the really need to encorporate a really good rainbow joke somewhere. A secret rainbow level would certainly do the trick.

I don't know how much i'm itching for a pickup all button. While out killing mobs, I rarely want to pick up all items on the screen. The majority of the drops in diablo are trash (which is a good thing; keeps the better drops more exciting).

But what would be nice is some sort of "group select" type feature for selecting items in my backpack. THINK: I get back to town, i have a bunch of items to vendor. I have to click/pick up the item then drop it on the vendor. Or i believe D2 has a short cut for this (shift right click or something?) can't recall. But better yet would be to group select and drag the entire mass & drop it on the vendor side. This would also come in handy when moving items into / out of trade windows with other players (and in/out of your stash). Especially the small items like gems/runes/etc... sooooo many clicks! Please save my clicks for killing mobs :P mwuhaha.

-Floydman|||Bring back the Butcher please, that is all.|||My only wish is to get both Wirt's Leg and dual-wield them to bash people.|||Quote:
