magic find

I found that magic find just ruined diablo II.

Hardly anyone would wear the gear they were after the majority of the time because they couldnt find new stuff with it.

It causes MF runs and all that sorta thing too.

Personally i would like to see it completely gone for good, rather than spending your time in junk gear doing MF runs id rather just be playing the game in a group with real gear, when something good drops then ill wear that rather than stashing it because i wont find anything else new if i wear it over my 30%mf whatever.

Apart from that im sure Diablo 3 will be great whatever is done.|||I agree, but not entirely. I'd rather just have a watered down version of the mf system. Maybe have it in rune form.|||well they said they were trying to get rid of mf runs. so we shall see how they incorporate this... but i must say i ****ing LOVE the new drop system *items drop for u and no1 else can see them* LOVE IT. no one jacking ur unique drop from the boss u took forever to kill and someone just ninjas it|||No way, magic find worked in D2 - and Blizzard will probably make it work better in D3.|||The problem with items in D2 wasn't that MF runs were possible, but that the regular gear you could find on a single-pass play through just wasn't sufficient outside of Normal difficulty.|||They could have smaller MF% and then allow it to be added up in a party which would discourage Solo MFing although I wouldn't want a side effect of people obsessing over what MF everyones got in a party.

Another Idea is to have MF gradually grow while in a game then people are less likely to keep making new games.|||Quote:

Umm and thats exactly how it was intended. Sorry but in a game like Diablo where the only thing that matters is loot, they arn't trying to make it easily gotten. The gear you want will most likely require 100's of passes through several different bosses and areas, and in D3 theres only gonna be more variety of where to look.

Just playing through the game your NEVER going to find all the top end gear. Your going to HAVE to do some runs for gear if you want the best. Also with everything being sooooo easy to kill I only found it fair you had to gimp your char down. Even in complete MF gear my sorc got temp bans from doing MF runs to fast. So this is hardly a problem. Also you could switch gear whenever you want if you wern't mfing. The thing is MF as a stat only benifited you. MF as the activity will never stop because its how gear is found. They are trying to limit people doing the exact same run over and over because they want people to explore more of the game and have more option of where to find gear not stop people from having to look for gear entirely.
