Do the game designers at Blizzard...

Look at the suggestions posted on this forum? How are ideas developed and implemented for Diablo III?|||Ideas are developed and implemented by the designers because THAT IS THEIR JOB. But they have stated they do listen to the community. Obviously they can't look at every single thread ever made about D3, and the ones they actually do look at they have to sift through to get away from the "omg lol d3 art style sucks its pustdated!!! rofl" posts. Can't say whether or not they have seen the threads on this forum, but I wouldn't doubt it.|||I think that's a good question for a mod.

I can only guess that the answer is yes, at least indirectly. For instance, some mods actually talk to Blizzard workers from time to time and they would undoubtedly bring up things that they see on forums since they're mods and they read this stuff.|||In the old days of D2 development, Blizzard developers frequented Diabloii.net all the time, hanging out with the fans and whatnot, but now the PR people rule the company, and Blizzard employees are no longer allowed to post on other forums than their own in any official fashion.

It's unlikely that they would have stopped, but they can't post without fear of losing their jobs. Diii.net is good, but not worth a job at Blizz for posting Besides, it's not that hard to just use an alt here to post with the fans, without giving away where they are from.

As Farmrush said, they probably don't have time to read every single thread here. It's just too much traffic on the boards. Same thing goes for Battle.net. The developers have people like moderators and Community Managers to keep a check on the community and bring them summarized reports on our opinions, and possibly highlights of good suggestions.

There is also the legal aspect of taking people's tips, as well as commenting on them. Especially in the US, where they have really sick Copyright laws, you could potentially sue them for using your idea if they acknowledge to have read it at any given point in time. Having fans post in forums like Diii.net or Battle.net, without commenting on the suggestions is the best resource for them. They are then in a better position for any oddball fans that ever try to sue them.|||I doubt very many designers read these forums. But I know one thing for sure, If I win the creative writing contest (Not being cocky but I have a decent chance) Then I would certainly bring a few of these ideas up, even if it was just with the lore designers so all I had to bring up were lore sudgestions.

One thing I would certainly do is refer them to this site.|||Pretty sure they read these forums and others. Its their job to know whats what.|||Yes I remembered Bashiok once mention something about this forums, I can't remember too well though.

It seems he does frequent here, but maybe as a guest I guess

Well you could post it up at the offical BNET forums and see if he replies
