Shared stash politics

"increase stash to 10*12". Sorry the problem is not size, its that we play more than one character and want to send items SAFE between them without addons/mods. We want to keep runes and gems and use them in the cube and send them to next char. Without a auction house the trade system is not good enough. We need safe transfer.

"Blizzard want players to choose carefully which items to keep". Well a system where you use a lot of mules and create a system where players try to mule safe, create a lot of games, banned players and so on is not the way. If they want us to only keep what is needed, well let us only have one character at each ladder That will prevent muling, banned players, bots. It will instead increase the trade system, and you will have to be more nice to those you play with. If I only can have one character at each ladder, then yes, a increased stash is what is needed, one tab for runes, one for gems, one tab for charms and so on. But when we can have more than one char, the shared stash is what makes transfer of items safe.

"Diablo 3 must be first with the news shared stash". Wrong, it is way better to implement shared stash in Diablo 2 patch 1.13 asap and get information and knowlege about how it works. Then learn from that and use a even better shared stash in Diablo from start! The longer time Diablo 2 has shared stash or safe transfer of items, the better Diablo 3 will be from day one.

Patch 1.13 is a perfect place to test this kind of stuff you might want to have in Diablo 3 to avoid same problem there. If it takes one year in Diablo 3 to understand that safe transfer of items is what the fans beg for, well then someone has to be fired |||I agree 100%. Atma/GoMule (SP muling application with enhanced stash and easy muling) is one of the main reason I still play SP.

Muling is just so unneccessary process and it can be really easy to get rid of by shared stash (which imho should be now a standard). I think number of games on BNet could by lower and server bandwidth could be saved that way.|||Titan quest : Immortal throne has implemented shared stash and extended various features for the genre, most of which I see as positive improvements. I'm sure the D3 design team has noted the various evolved features of the latest ARPG games, and are trying to fit everything together according to what they want to create.

I fully agree with implementing it with 1.13 for data, and the fact that the design team actually implement effective features for D3, rather then try to cure a cold with a beating stick. Referring to "Blizzard want players to choose carefully which items to keep" and setting things up in a way that not only does not work, but hugely inconvenience players at the same time and take away from the game experience (forced muling and all the headaches that come with it).

Given this has not yet happened for D3, and nor was it foreseen in the early days of designing D2.|||Meh, not worth it to prevent the safe handing-down of items. Agree.
