Clan reputation suggestion

Hi!

A new approach to reputation beween clans (and clan wars.)

But i use some of the names from wow like:

Exalted

Revered

Honored

Friendly

Neutral

Unfriendly

Hostile

Hated

This can happen i Diablo 3 or any new MMORPG that have guilds/clans...

All players start friendly to each other.

All players will have reputation with npc factions, they choose different like Aldor or Scryes in Shattra (wow).

But the system I am talking about here is the reputation between clans, instead of the Alliance/Horde in wow. In wow for example all alliance guilds are friendly, even if you fill your ignore list or your friend list.

I would like to try a system where BIG clans can have reputaion also. In this example i use 10 players as a big clan, but it could be 50 or whatever.

Any clans start as neutral to all other clans. When a clan have more than 10 people the clan master can choose to enable clan reputation.

Clan reputation can only been enabled in a major city by the clan master. If you want to reset the reputation to neutral you must pay a lot of gold. It must be very expensive. For example if you want to reset your clan reputation, the clan bank will also be reset, so the clan have to buy new slots wich must be expensive.

When you play with other players that also are in clans who has enabled clan reputation, you can target the player and choose how nice it was to play with.

* Very nice player indeed. +3

* Very Nice. +2

* Ok +1

* Play careful with this player. -1

* Bad apple. -2

And if you put a player on ignorelist, that clan get a Bad apple also (-2).

In this system you keep a friendly list and a ignore list that overrides clan reputation if you want to keep somone on such a list no mater what clan that person plays in.

You can only give a judgement to a player that you have met, in a party or a fight.

You cant judge people that your friends warn you from until you meet them. 10 min after you left the other player you cant judge them any longer. So if someone ninja an item, you but not your friends can judge that player.

If you play in clan "Akara" judge a player in the clan "DeccoCain" all the players online in the "Akara" and "DeccoCain" will see what happened in their clan chat window. Mabye also in a clan log (like the bank log in wow)

Every day or week or preferably in real time, the reputation between your clans change slowly. Clans can only change reputation one step each day. That is maximum speed. How fast it changes depends on how many in the clan and so on.

Note that the reputation never follows a player, you judge a player, but the clan gets the reputation. If you never want to play with someone, use your ignorelist.

If you are in a clan that are hostile to most clans and you want to leave that clan, you just go to a major city, talk to a NPC, and you have left the clan. Now you are on a cooldown, you cant join another clan in 1 hour. And you can not join the same clan for 24 hours.

If you want to leave a clan that has not enabled clan reputation, you just leave when you want to, maybe a 5 min cooldown to join a new clan.

So it will take some time to leave a clan, but that gives players time to judge others before they quit.

You can give up to 10 players a judgement each day.

Risk: Players put 10 bad apples each day so they get enemies they can attack, a bad apple dont automaticly mean that the person was a ninja. So maybe restrict to only give up to 7 good reputations each day, and 3 bad. Or that for each bad reputation you give, you must give one good reputation before you can give a new bad reputation.

Maybe clans that are Exalted to each other can trade items that they cant trade with those who have bad or none reputation.

If you dont want to play with reputation, join a clan that dont have it enabled, or play solo

Maybe players that have rank "trial" dont affect reputation, only message in clan chat window. But if so, trial members can not judge others. Or trials can only set 3 reputation each day.

But if you want clan pvp, and beeing able to have other nice clans to trade with, enable clan reputation!

/Sorry for the spelling, I just wrote and wrote when I had the idea |||using the word "clan" alot freakes me out.

This wouldn't work in D3 because only 4 player max per game so guilds/clans won't work.|||only 4? that was bad news. I guess there will be more classes than 4...so all classes cant even play in the same game together.

and pvp will be 1 vs 3, or 2 vs 2 maximum. sigh|||yup, i'm kinda really wondering how they are gonna plan PvP,

mayb there are like other games where more players fit in with like arena/tournament maps who knows?
