D3 Daily Dungeons - Page 2

[:1]Rather than put a date, I would say make it like the pandemonium event. Just random. It could be something as simple as a cave or portal gateway that may or may not pop up when you make/join a game. Have a random fixed number of assortment levels that can appear in any given area. This could then lead to a different area that poses new challenges and such you can easily tire this for any difficulty so you don't have to wait til end game.|||I think he is worried about the WoW implementation of "Daily Quests." There is basically a set of quests you can do once a day for some purpose. If you miss a day, you can't double up and do the quest twice in quick succession at some other time.

In short, it's a system that hard caps how many times you can do that quest per week, staggers them a day apart, and gives no method to make up for the days you missed. For people who are busy during the week and play during the weekends, it is really annoying.|||I agree about the WoW dailies. I'm against that kind of stuff because it's sort of negative for both sides, if you play all the time it feels like a chore because you HAVE TO do X to get Y, be it reputation or badges or whatever, and if you don't, not playing kinda feels like you're more behind, and divides the player base into the old HARDKORE vs casual thing.

Honestly if the original idea was taken up, a longer timetable would help balance that out. But, I like some of the other ideas mentioned here a bit better, and since I finally got around to watching the Crafting Sanctuary panel, I'm sure they can do better than this anyway. *shrug*

It's still fun to kick around ideas though.
