Should PVP Arenas have gambling?

[:1]If Arenas allowed players to gamble there would be tangible rewards for PVP but not a new class of PVP items. Everybody's happy?|||Not really needed PvP is fun enough and it will put people off who dont want to gamble there stuff.|||Though the idea of this is sound I think it would bring about new problems. What would you gamble just gold? I guess this could be turned into a gold sink if the game gets a “rake”. If items are gambled I see much arguing to even get matches started, would be easier for 1v1 matches. This is also something I would hate for them to spend time on prelaunch, maybe in a patch after would be fine, remember though they said PVP is just an add on and PVE is the real goal|||i could see an optional wager match with gold happening. but items for ante .. . . doubtful|||Yeah, PVP arena gambling would work best with gold rather than items. You could declare a challenge for a fee and have others search and decide to battle, or you could search for someone to battle. It would still be cool to do some item gambling but it would be best to do it person to person through game rather than pure matchmaking.

Optional gambling definitely, separate from ladder possibly.|||What happens if one party wants to gamble and the other does not? I think it's a bad idea because it could become, in the long run, a requirement for PvP. A lot of people would use this feature but since a one-sided gamble would make no sense whatsoever, those who don't want to use that feature would remain outside of the possibility of reaching a high PvP rating due to the relative lack of people to play with, because players in the top tier could easily try to amount lots of money in order to prevent others from challenging them at all due to a necessary gambling fee.|||The only way it could possibly work would be for ranking, the pvp ladder to be completely separate from gambling.|||I think they talked about pre decided teams ie. friends battling it out against eachother.

In that system it would work fine without disturbing the ranking system etc.|||They should definately have gambling, fighting for money is always more fun.
