Alternate skins

I know that they're making a female and male version of the characters, and I think it would be cool for them to take it one step further. Say there are two or more wizards in a game, wouldn't it be nice if the two or more wizards looked different from each other so they're not clones?|||nice idea. It is like the old D&D Arcade game, shadows of mysteria whereby there is one or more skin for the characters.|||There are not going to do that. They said they won't.

Why waste time giving your character a different skin or different hair colour when 99.9% of the time he will be wearing full body armour. Perhaps light or leather armour for the casters, but still full body armour.

It's just useless.|||Quote:

Besides this is not a MMO where there are 1000's of players residing in one game. It's 4.|||people will look different because a lot of players will have different armors, helmets, weapons, etc.

dont worry, you wont look like everyone else |||I still think not letting players customize character was a MAJOR letdown, by today's standards. I mean, c'mon... it's Blizzard not some small company. They have every resource in the world and they really didn't do it just because they did not want to, so they just used the lore as a poor excuse to not do it.

It's fine, I can live without the customization but it is an element of fun. Having played Guild Wars, looks were awesome there and played quite a role there. Aion has also an incredible customization screen, every facial feature... just amazing.

Diablo players usually frown upon customization idea just out of being too conservative. Seeing how D3 has even 2 genders per class now, I see no reason not to add it, but they simply didn't want to. Like I said I won't miss it much compared to the amount of anticipation for this game, but I won't be hypocryte to say it wouldn't be a nice to have, because it sure would. Blond female barbarians or brunette female barbarians make a world of difference.|||In D2 they made tiaras so the amazons hair could show. So ofc it would be nice to change color of the hair. In WoW all characters have helmets, but also an option to hide the helmet even if it is on the head. Just to let players feel that they are more unique. But it is not important at all for D3 right now. They can add that after the release version in a patch after 10 years or so
